First #ExpatEntrepreneur Meetup In the Books
Last night here in Lima I hosted the very first Expat Entrepreneur meetup. 9 people, including myself, had rsvp’d to attend, and 4 of us made it. In Peru, I’ve come to expect that if a certain number of people commit to an event, roughly 50% will make it, so I was pleased with attendance for the first meetup. The demographic breakdown of attendees was 2 Americans, 1 German, and 1 French. The business breakdown was 2 internet/web-startup guys, 1 international recruiting business, and 1 e-magazine about Spanish & German futbol (soccer). All said, it was definitely and interesting group and we had a great time discussing our businesses, the challenges presented by running them from here in Peru, and how we all ended up here to begin with. I’m definitely looking forward to the next meetup and meeting more fellow Expat Entrepreneurs.
